To start working with ContentQuo Plan, you'll need to make sure it's connected to your TMS. This connection is essential – it allows the system to automatically pull job data and launch evaluations for you, based on the rules and scope you define. That means no more manual job selection every time you want to run a quality check.
We support all major TMS platforms. You can check the full list of supported systems here.
Let’s Set Up a New Plan – Step by Step
We’ll walk through the process by imagining a realistic use case:
You want to run a monthly audit of jobs that were recently completed, but you only want to include jobs that are actually significant (e.g., over 1,000 words). You also have a limited budget – let's say, around 14,000 words – so you need to make sure the selection stays within that.
Step 1: Create Your Plan
- Click New Plan.
Give your plan a clear name so it’s easy to recognize later.
If you didn’t name the Plan properly at the start, you can rename it later by clicking
the gear icon near the existing name.
Go to Action > Confirm that you want to use the Evaluate module.
-
Continue with Main Settings:
-
Group Name: Choose where the evaluations will be saved.
Workflow: If you want evaluations to be automatically assigned, make sure your workflow supports that.
- Quality Profile: Select the right QP for this audit.
-
Step 2: Set Frequency
Since this is a recurring task (a monthly audit), set:
Frequency > Recurring
You’d only choose Once only mode for a one-time or special case.
If you want the Plan to launch on a specific day, please make sure to select only that exact date.
The Plan's duration is the period within which the Plan will work.
Step 3: Define the Scope
This is where you decide which jobs should be considered.
Start by adding filters that help narrow it down to what matters:
Job Import Status = New → helps exclude jobs that were already evaluated.
TMS Job > Job Creation Period → set to Less than 90 days (or any other period, depending on how far back you want to go).
TMS Job > Wordcount > Greater than 1000 → ensures you're focusing on substantial jobs.
TMS Project > Project Name > Contains → if you want to target specific projects.
Go to the Show section to see three default groupings, but more are available if needed by clicking on the dropdown menu.
If you want to focus on a certain target language (e.g., German), you can do that too:
Click Add at the top of the relevant group to include it.
Can’t select the right languages? Try the enlarge button (bottom right of the selection box) or use the zoom tool on the side.
If you want to concentrate on the specific project (e.g., under Korean) just do the same steps.
- Click Project name
- Click Add at the top of the relevant group to include it.
Step 4: Set the Budget
Now let’s manage the volume of evaluations:
Simple Mode – Choose a percentage to apply across all languages or other main scope criteria, for example - translator/vendor.
Advanced Mode – Allows you to set different percentages for each language or job area.
In our example, we only have a 14,000-word budget. No problem – you can adjust the budget, and ContentQuo will automatically select just enough jobs to stay within that limit.
Step 5: Define Priorities
The Priorities tab shows which jobs are selected based on your filters and budget.
By default, job selection can happen randomly, but for more control, you can enable Risk Variables. This lets you prioritize jobs based on factors like:
High word count
Language-specific focus
Any other logic your team wants to apply
For example, we might decide to prioritize high-word-count jobs across all selected languages.
Step 6: Final Check – Review & Launch
Everything set? Now just:
Click Review and Launch (top right corner).
Double-check your selections, filters, and budget settings.
Click Launch to activate the Plan.
That’s it – your evaluation plan is now running based on the logic you defined, and it’s working fully automatically.
The bottom line
With just a few thoughtful steps, you’ve created a recurring, targeted audit plan that:
Automatically pulls recent jobs from your TMS
Focuses on relevant work (e.g., high-word-count jobs)
Respects your evaluation budget
Prioritizes jobs based on risk or custom rules
Saves time by eliminating manual selection
Let ContentQuo Plan do the heavy lifting for you – so your team can focus on what matters most: continuous quality improvement.
